Taillights, celebrating payday and good sleep

- I'm so often stopped at this spot, that I have memorized the landscape around it.  There is what looks like a golf course that you can see through the trees to the right.  I keep thinking that one day I'll explore and find out exactly what that is.  Today I won't mind those taillights, because it's Friday and that will be on the way home.  :)   (Traffic was stopped when I took this photo.)

- Celebrating payday by stopping by Fresh Market on the way home:  Roasted peppercorn garlic blackened salmon and lemon orzo salad with pine nuts for dinner.  Perfect and just what I wanted.

- After an exhausting few days, crawling into bed at 9pm and falling instantly asleep.  And the satisfaction of walking for a moment around 11pm, knowing that I have several more hours of sleep to go.

It's raining again this weekend in Atlanta, but I don't mind.  I love a rainy day when I can stay home.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

So glad you explained that the traffic was stopped when you took the photo:)

I cooked my first blackened dish the other day. It was fish and it was very tasty.

There is not shortage of sleep time when you are retired. I'm not trying to rub that in:)

Hi Lynn .. love the description - traffic and time to reflect, an easy sounding delicious dinner, early bed - bliss, and then a rainy day - so good for the land .. and us as we can read and go slow for a while ..

Cheers Hilary

Isn't it best when you wake up like that? It's the worst when you wake up like 10 mins. before you have to wake up! :)

Have a beautiful wet weekend, Lynn!

Lemon orzo, nom! I can't believe it's sunny again here and raining there, that never happens.

Look how smooth that road is! Not a crack or a pothole.

A stop at fresh Market is always a special treat. On payday, better yet!
It sounds like you have earned a restful weekend. Enjoy!

Getting stuck in traffic does have a whole different feel on payday n the week-end. A celebration salad - You definitely deserve it! N the extra sleep too- We're still waiting on rain in our drought here. Have a restful week-end-

Granny Annie -

I knew someone would bust me for that otherwise. :) I don't know why particular spot backs up - it just does.

Love blackened fish.

I am looking forward to retirement. :)

Sage -

It was wonderful. I think I have figured that salad out.

Hilary -

Yes - you got it.

Talon -

That happens a lot. :) Hope your weekend is good, too. It's raining, just as they said.

But that's only 4 hours sleep. All you need, I guess. :)
