Advertising, the main draw and bright spot

- Spotted on the way in to work yesterday morning - a line from "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" in which they were talking about alluring cologne. :) No - I didn't recognize it - I Googled. :)

- Later, while driving through the Georgia Institute of Technology, this sign. I guess they're smart hunks, too. :)

- And stopping to pick up a Cuban sandwich for lunch on the way back to the office, this sign made me chuckle. The fedora wearing owner has so much infectious enthusiasm, he makes he want to go there all the time.

Sometimes I call something that makes me chuckle a good thing (especially during a busy day like yesterday.) I hope you find lightheartedness around you this weekend, too. Have a great one!

That first sign you can probably apply to your local or state government. :D

All of my kids would have recognized the line because they know the lines in every Will Ferrell movie ever made.

Smart Hunks for sure. Better than Two Men And A Truck. I'd call the hunks first.

Love your Cuban restaurant owner and relish his sense of humor but just wait, someone will want to sue him for not being PC.

Thank for sharing one of your dad's stories on my blog today. He did his part to preserve my freedom and I am grateful.

I love it! Hunks hauling junk and parking for Cubans only. What an uplifting post, my friend. I'm borrowing that sign for my Cuban friends on FB, thanks.

Happy Weekend!!! :)

This was a great post. I guess the 60% sign works for me, but I don't think I would put it on my desk. LOVE college hunks. My college doesn't have a football team, so we have a bunch of hipsters, no jocks. :( And the Cuban sandwich is my FAVORITE sandwich of all sandwiches. :)

Or in this case, some mens' cologne that "smells like gasoline" and contains "bits of panther." :)

Granny Annie -

I snapped Mr C's sign yesterday because I had time sitting in traffic and I almost posted something like, "I don't know what this means, but it's probably fun." And decided to Google it instead. :)

Thank you for focusing your blog on stories from veterans today. I think I got my quirky sense of humor from my dad, so my blog post today is an indirect tribute.

Scarlet -

I saw that on facebook. :) Yes - come to Atlanta and have sandwich at The Crazy Cuban, but let me know when you are here, chica!

It must be lovely to work in an academic setting. I know it has its challenges, too, but I always enjoy college students. :)

Yes - my favorite is the traditional Cuban sandwich. Love it.

I have that funny film in my VHS collection... Still haven't got a new VHS machine tho- I wonder if the hunks try to look hansome while they take dump runs.... Clever you-
Cute sign. I wonder what the Cuban sandwich style is. Never had or seen one. Do they use specific bread, meat, or spices?

I was so happy to be stuck in traffic so I could snap that sign.

It's been lovely so far!

I know, right? :)

I haven't seen it - I'll have to get it from Netflix.

The sandwich I like best is the Traditional Cuban Sandwich: Cuban bread, mojo, ham, sliced pork, swiss cheese, mustard, pickles and it's pressed and served hot. Yum.

I didn't know that - I'll have to try that coffee sometime.

A man in line in front of me asked for some sort of coffee drink. They asked, "Do you want sugar?" He replied (a little sarcastically, I thought), "Yes, or then it wouldn't be ___ (whatever he asked for.)" :)
